The Gyrox autogyro
The aircraft used for the record attempt circumnavigation of the globe, is a two seat MT-03 Autogyro. RotorSport in the UK, which worked in conjunction with the Norman Surplus, has retrofitted it for Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval.
The MT-03 is a two-seat tandem autogyro suited to multiple applications. It can be equally effective travelling long distances cross-country, enjoying a short local pleasure flight, carrying out air/sea aerial observation roles and photographic sorties, where permitted, or in daily service for pilot training.
The autogyro powered by a 115 hp turbo 914 Rotax engine supplied by the manufacturer Autogyro GMBH in Germany.
